Torsion Springs

Torsion springs are helical springs that exert a rotational force when twisted around their axis.
Torsion springs work by resisting rotational deformation. They are used in applications where rotational movement or force (torque) is needed, such as in garage door mechanisms, clothespins, and various automotive components.

Types of Torsion Springs
Single Torsion Springs: These have a single coil and are used in applications requiring moderate to high rotational force.
Double Torsion Springs: Featuring two coils wound in opposite directions, these handle higher loads and provide greater stability. They are ideal for heavy-duty applications.

Bend Types

Radial Bend: Coils bent along a radius, ideal for applications needing perpendicular force, such as automotive components.
Axial Bend: Coils bent along the axis, suited for applications where force is applied parallel to the spring’s axis, like electronic devices.
Spiral Bend: Continuous spiral bends provide smooth, consistent force, perfect for precision instruments and specialized machinery.
Tangential Bend: Coils bent tangentially to the central axis, offering unique force characteristics.
